A Reflection on Gifts by Natalie Roberts
Do we believe we’re born a blank canvas?
Ready to become a masterpiece of society’s making?
A blank canvas of potential? A blank canvas for others to fill, paint, design, decide, assess, amend, compare, mould?
What if we’re each born a masterpiece? A beautiful and unique masterpiece?
What if life’s work – yours and others – is simply to bring it into focus?
To notice its brush strokes and colours and bring its beauty and image into view for all to see? A masterpiece made in the image and likeness of LOVE?
Instead the masterpiece becomes covered with the brush strokes and colours of others who think they know what the canvas should look like or what they need it to look like.
Others decide and paint and tell and decide.
’Til we can’t see and don’t know the masterpiece anymore – we no longer know who we are…
What if the journey is to recover and reveal the hidden masterpiece?
Reveal it to yourself.
Shed the layers added by others and by you in your attempt to be safe, to be seen, to be loved.
Reveal it to yourself, bringing its beauty and image into view….. and then reveal it gently and bravely to the world, who it was ready and waiting for from the beginning.
A journey back… and forth… to the best version of yourself… the only version there was ever supposed to be… from the very beginning.
Discovering you, your place and your purpose in the world is an adventure and as you discover it…. joy, love and peace arrive.

I want to gift you the biggest permission slip to little by little rediscover your hidden masterpiece, express it and celebrate it, without fear or excuses! Begin to explore all this in the next blog – Taking Up Space: Living on Purpose.
With love and the gift of sparkle…
